Volumetric Cloud Sky Dome
Get this modelDocumentation for every setting is included inside the Geometry Node Setup.
Set light bounces in Volumes to at least 1 in render settings for optimal results.
A highly customizable procedural volumetric cloud sky dome built for Cycles GPU rendering. Its curved dome structure carries the clouds naturally toward and beyond the horizon, creating the appearance of a vast atmosphere without requiring a real world scale scene or hundreds of kilometers of cloud geometry.
Perfect for ocean scenes, aerial shots, landscapes, cinematics, environment renders, and large outdoor worlds. The system includes independently customizable low, middle, and high altitude cloud layers, each with controls for density, coverage, scale, shape, roughness, detail, height, thickness, seed, movement direction, and animation speed. The low layer produces large pronounced cumulus formations, while the middle and high layers add depth, variation, and distant atmospheric coverage. All major settings are exposed directly in the Geometry Nodes modifier, and the organized procedural materials provide additional control over the appearance of each layer. The clouds are generated procedurally rather than supplied as a presimulated VDB, allowing changes and animated movement to update directly as you scrub or play the timeline.
