Animated Water Caustics Light - Cycles Only
Get this modelDocumentation for every setting is included inside the shader nodes setup, open the Caustics Light's node tree and you'll find it in the documentation frame inside the Underwater Caustics group.
A fully procedural animated underwater caustics system built entirely with shader nodes on a single area light — no textures, no image sequences, no simulations. The pattern is generated by five layers of self-warping wavefronts that reproduce how real water focuses light: razor-sharp filaments, polygonal cells, and the bright "fold" hot-spots where wavefronts converge. It is mathematically non-repeating, so it works on any scale from a swimming pool to an ocean floor with no visible tiling, and it animates on its own, just press play. Adjust scale, speed, chaos, irregularity, distortion, filament sharpness, fold intensity, brightness, chromatic aberration, water tint, ambient floor, and depth growth directly on the node group. Caustics physically enlarge with distance from the light, and the light's Spread angle controls how they soften with depth. Includes a raw single-channel generator group you can reuse in any material. Cycles.
