Volumetric Explosion - Animated
Get this modelDocumentation for every setting is included inside the Geometry Nodes setup. Open the node tree and you'll find it in the documentation frame on the left.
A procedural real-time explosion system built with Geometry Nodes simulation zones. The explosion emits from the object's origin and can expand as a spherical blast or be aimed using the Direction and Directionality controls. Adjust the particle count, burst duration, emission radius, blast strength, drag, wind, buoyancy, gravity, turbulence, updraft, cooling, burn rate, smoke lifetime, growth, and volume quality directly from the modifier panel.
Create anything from compact fireballs to large, rolling smoke plumes with glowing cores and cooler outer shells. Child particles, shape warping, density noise, trailing smoke, and multi-scale air currents produce a detailed cauliflower-like silhouette that continues evolving after the initial blast. Optional debris generates bright sparks with adjustable speed, size, flame intensity, and trails, while ground collision lets particles bounce from a configurable plane. The system produces density, temperature, and flame grids for volumetric shading. Play from the Start Frame to initialize the explosion, then bake it through Physics > Simulation Nodes for fast and reliable timeline scrubbing.
