Atlas QA Studio
add-on
Audit base-mesh UV overlaps, pixel padding, rectangular texel density and UDIM coverage. Select findings and export visual offline reports. Original example included. Tested on Windows x64, Blender 4.5.15 and 5.2.3.
Review UV atlas defects before delivering an asset. Inspect overlaps, island spacing, rectangular texel density and tile coverage, then select affected faces or share an offline report.
What the workflow deliversCross-object atlas checks, exact positive-area UV intersections, island padding in output pixels, rectangular texel density, UDIM-aware checks, select findings, portable visual HTML/JSON reports.
Try the included exampleThree original housings with UVMap. The control housing has deliberately stacked faces; the service housing has an island extending outside 0–1. Analyze all three. Their rendered geometry remains unchanged because this is a checker.
Actual prepared-example result: Findings: 3 meshes, 36 triangles, 2 overlapping faces, 1 close island pairs
Included- Native Blender extension ZIP with GPL-3.0-or-later Python source.
- Original portable .blend example and relevant recipe/resource fixtures.
- Illustrated offline guide, reference, troubleshooting, changelog and verification notes.
- Local readable HTML / JSON / CSV reports where applicable.
Verified on Windows x64, Blender 4.5.15 LTS and 5.2.3 LTS. Other operating systems and versions have not been independently tested. No external Python, pip installation, activation or network account is required.
Scope and limits
Audits base mesh UVs; modifiers are excluded and flagged. Defaults: 50,000 triangles and 1,000,000 candidate pairs. Maximums: 100,000 triangles and 3,000,000 pairs. Work limits can produce INCOMPLETE results. Up to 2,000 findings are retained with omitted counts; the panel shows 300 priority rows. SVG previews show up to 5,000 triangles per group. UDIM coordinates are limited to U 0–10, V 0–100.
When to use another tool
This tool does not unwrap, pack, repair, bake, or display a live GPU overlay. Review intentional stacking and mirrored UVs yourself. Apply a reviewed copy of modifiers first if you need to inspect evaluated topology.
Save a backup and review outputs. Reports and project snapshots can contain private paths/data; inspect them before sharing. No universal compatibility, speed, artistic correctness, independent quality rating or sales outcome is claimed.
