Dependency Vault Pro
add-on
Create a separate native Blender snapshot with supported resources and linked libraries packed. Reopen and verify in an isolated background Blender, with hash receipts. Tested on Windows x64, Blender 4.5.15 and 5.2.3.
Create a separate Blender project snapshot with supported native dependencies packed, then reopen and verify it in an isolated background Blender before marking delivery complete.
What the workflow deliversAudit native project dependencies, create an isolated project snapshot, pack supported native dependencies in a background Blender, reopen and verify the packaged project, produce hashes and dependency receipts without overwriting originals.
Try the included exampleThree instances of an original linked textured service case. library-parts.blend has an external original checker PNG. Audit and create a vault; the receipt should verify packed resources and reopened native data. The subject’s appearance intentionally stays unchanged.
Actual prepared-example result: Portable project packed, reopened and verified
Included- Native Blender extension ZIP with GPL-3.0-or-later Python source.
- Original portable .blend example and relevant recipe/resource fixtures.
- Illustrated offline guide, reference, troubleshooting, changelog and verification notes.
- Local readable HTML / JSON / CSV reports where applicable.
Verified on Windows x64, Blender 4.5.15 LTS and 5.2.3 LTS. Other operating systems and versions have not been independently tested. No external Python, pip installation, activation or network account is required.
Blocked resource types
Missing resources, dirty unsaved image buffers, unpacked generated/movie/sequence images, movie clips, volumes, external simulation/cache modifiers, Geometry Nodes bake caches, VSE movies/image sequences, known Geometry Nodes file-import nodes, and external OSL/IES text dependencies are blocked. Resolve these explicitly or use a dedicated delivery workflow.
Outside the inventory
Arbitrary filenames in custom strings, Python code and third-party add-on settings may not be detectable. Scripts are not executed by the worker. Custom add-ons, render engines, operating-system codecs and their versions are not packaged or certified. Review your own external resource conventions.
Capacity and storage
Maximum 512 MiB per dependency/packed resource. External total defaults to 2,048 MiB and can be set up to 8,192 MiB. Free-space estimate is deliberately conservative: roughly 5× external dependency bytes plus 3× source project bytes. Cyclic/unresolvable library graphs are refused. Worker time and memory depend on the project.
Save a backup and review outputs. Reports and project snapshots can contain private paths/data; inspect them before sharing. No universal compatibility, speed, artistic correctness, independent quality rating or sales outcome is claimed.
