Supercars On Wet Desert Highway
Get this sceneBuilt entirely in Blender 5.2, with every element modeled from scratch. This scene shows three modern supercars driving in a tight convoy on a wet desert highway at sunset, their lights glowing against the rain-slicked asphalt. The lead car is a metallic silver coupe, flanked by a bright orange R8 and a matte grey Audi. Reflections of the pink-and-orange sky stretch across the wet road, and a long bridge with wire railings runs to a vanishing point on the horizon.
The desert stretches to distant mountains on either side, with scattered scrub brush and rocky outcroppings along the roadside. Water droplets speckle the cars’ sleek lines, and the brake lights cast a red glow on the low clouds overhead.
What’s going on under the hood:
The cars, road, bridge, and desert terrain were all modeled by hand for this scene.
Each car has a full exterior and interior (seats, steering wheels, dashboards) — they’re complete models, not just shells.
The asphalt uses a wet-road shader with dynamic rain puddles and droplets, so it reads as actively raining rather than just wet.
The desert sand has a more matte, diffuse shader with patches of scrub and rock, so it stays distinct from the glossy road.
Rain streaks and water droplets on the car paint create a realistic sense of speed and weather.
Lighting is a low, warm sun peeking through the clouds, with soft shadows and orange highlights on the cars and road.
Visible headlights and brake lights add color and bring out each car’s distinct light signature.
All compositing was done natively in Blender, with no external editing, balancing the exposure, adding a glow to the lights, and grading the highlights and shadows.
