Beetle-Like Creature Rigged
Get this modelDisclaimer: material for model is intended for use in EEVEE. If you wish to render the model in cycles, connect the Principled BSDF shader directly into the material output node. This model was also intended for macro shots, as a result this model is rather large. Previously 475 cm, it is now at about 74.9 cm in the Z axis. The creature's canonical height is around 5.72 cm, a scale that would make animating this creature difficult. As a result, the size of the creature was based on the in-scene scale of the ant-like creatures it was meant to antagonize. The in-scene scale of the ant-like creatures that were intended to interact with the beetle is about 104 to 168 cm, whereas the canon size would be about 1.26 to 2.03 cm. The beetle was initially created to fit within a story I am working on, but the model ended up heavily referencing dung beetles. As the creature has anatomy that is too similar to beetles and differs from the design of the other creatures I have made, I plan to redesign it later. The creature is fully rigged and has a few animations. There are bones that can be rotated to switch between IK and FK for the limbs directly above the overall armature. Despite being beetle-like, no wings were made for this model. Has a fairly similar rig to the other creatures I have made, only difference being that it does not have a head track switch.
