SplatGen Standard helps you prepare your Blender scenes and 3D assets for a Gaussian Splat workflow. Set up a capture, build an organized dataset, then bring existing trained splats into Blender for viewing and approximate relighting.
What you can do in StandardBuild smart, manual or saved camera rigs for interiors, exteriors, individual objects or collections. Check scene coverage, review camera placement and organize camera queues before rendering.
Capture images, masks and depth, generate supporting point-cloud data, and inspect dataset previews. Versioned output folders keep successive captures organized. Open trained Gaussian PLY files with Blender’s native splat controls to view them alongside your scene and explore approximate relighting.
When to choose ProStandard covers dataset preparation and viewing. To train Gaussian Splats directly inside Blender, choose SplatGen Pro. Pro adds V2 and Legacy training, live previews during training, saved-run continuation, checkpoints and trainer-generated PLY/SOG export, with training dependencies included.
Standard does not include a trainer or CUDA/PyTorch runtime. You can train its datasets in a separate application. The locked Train · Pro tab is a settings reference, not an active trainer.
CompatibilitySplatGen Standard 5.3.0-alpha.1 is a preview release for Windows x64 and Blender 5.3 Alpha with native Gaussian Splat support. Final-release Blender compatibility and clean-machine compatibility have not been established. Standard has no NVIDIA CUDA training requirement because it does not train; Blender’s own viewing and rendering hardware requirements still apply.
Enable only one SplatGen edition at a time and back up your preferences before switching editions.
Support and privacyAutomatic update checks are optional and off by default. Problem reports are manual, with optional diagnostics, a preview and explicit agreement. See the bundled Guidebook, installation instructions, privacy notice and GPL-3.0-or-later license.
