Blendkit (formerly BlenderKit) 3.21.0 🔗

We’re thrilled to announce the release of Blendkit (formerly BlenderKit) 3.21.0!

This release is all about making your everyday workflow feel faster, smoother, and more dependable. Building on the improvements from 3.19.2 and beyond, 3.21.0 brings a more polished experience across browsing, placing, and managing assets in Blender.

✨ What’s improved 🔗

  • Smoother asset browsing — the asset bar now feels more fluid and responsive, with smooth scrolling that makes exploring large libraries much easier.
  • Faster, safer placement workflow — Proxor (experimental feature) proxy meshes help speed up object placement by showing lightweight stand-ins while assets are being prepared, making drag-and-drop feel more immediate and responsive. (Models published from BK3.20.0+)
  • Better support for Microsoft Blender — this release specifically improves compatibility with Microsoft’s sandboxed Blender environment, where some operations had previously been completely broken.
  • More stable everyday use — lots of behind-the-scenes fixes make downloads, uploads, unpacking, appending, and search interactions more robust.
  • Cleaner user experience — from improved error handling to better loading behavior and UI responsiveness, this version is designed to feel more polished in real-world use.

In short, Blendkit 3.21.0 focuses on the things artists notice most: speed, smoothness, compatibility, and reliability. Equally exciting, it is the first release since we changed our name from BlenderKit to Blendkit.

As always, please restart Blender after updating to make sure everything loads correctly.

Happy blending!
