Channel Pack Studio
add-on
Compile explicit CSV channel recipes to verified PNG8/16 or float EXR: ORM, Unity mask layouts, custom RGBA and normal operations. Native decoded-pixel checks. Tested on Windows x64, Blender 4.5.15 and 5.2.3.
Compile explicit scalar texture recipes into independently verified packed maps. Batch ORM, Unity mask conventions, custom RGBA and reviewed normal-map operations without guessing filenames.
What the workflow deliversExplicit CSV batch recipes, per-channel image/component/inversion/constants, ORM and Unity presets, strict size checks or reviewed resampling, native 16-bit PNG and float EXR, output decoding and value validation.
Try the included exampleFour explicit recipes compile the original scalar inputs to ORM, HDRP, URP and green-flipped normal PNGs. The three rendered case swatches illustrate source materials; compilation does not edit or assign scene materials.
Actual prepared-example result: 4 / 4 channel textures decoded and verified
Included- Native Blender extension ZIP with GPL-3.0-or-later Python source.
- Original portable .blend example and relevant recipe/resource fixtures.
- Illustrated offline guide, reference, troubleshooting, changelog and verification notes.
- Local readable HTML / JSON / CSV reports where applicable.
Verified on Windows x64, Blender 4.5.15 LTS and 5.2.3 LTS. Other operating systems and versions have not been independently tested. No external Python, pip installation, activation or network account is required.
Scope and limits
Up to 200 rows in a CSV of at most 1 MiB. PNG and flat scanline OpenEXR inputs, up to 4096 × 4096 and 512 MiB per file. Deep, tiled, multipart and multilayer EXR are refused. Source hashes are checked before and after decoding. Default dimensions follow the first source unless overridden; mismatches are blocked by default.
Engine integration
Preset names describe channel layouts, not certification for every engine/shader version. You must import the output with the correct non-color settings and confirm your shader expects this convention. Flip Y only when you know the source and destination normal conventions.
Save a backup and review outputs. Reports and project snapshots can contain private paths/data; inspect them before sharing. No universal compatibility, speed, artistic correctness, independent quality rating or sales outcome is claimed.
