Prussian Ammunition Wagon and Limber 1842 - detailed Blender 3D model based on original blueprints from 1842 in an enhanced version. The Prussian Ammunition Wagon with Limber from 1842 played a significant role in the history of the Prussian mounted artillery. It was crucial for extended engagements as it carried ammunition. Additional ammunition was stored in each limber of the artillery train. All other equipment of the ammunition wagon was securely fastened to the outside of the limber and the ammunition wagon in robust fabric bags or barrels. The ammunition wagon and its associated limber featured 44 lashing rings (attachment points) and ample space to accommodate all necessary equipment. The boxes of the ammunition wagon and the limber were explicitly designed for ammunition, equipped with sturdy lids reinforced with iron bands. Both boxes could be additionally secured with locks and latching mechanisms. The limber was pulled by six mounted horses, while the officer rode alone. Additionally, two soldiers could ride on the limber, and three soldiers on the ammunition wagon. In 1859, during the Battle of Solferino in Italy, the ammunition wagons proved their effectiveness, contributing to Prussia's military success. The Prussian Ammunition Wagon with Limber from 1842 symbolized technological advancement and the evolution of artillery in Prussia, showcasing military strength and capability on the battlefield. The Blender model comprises over 380 individual parts, many of which are movable. For rotating the wheels and opening the boxes, please use the 'Local' transformation orientation, as the wheels are still inclined by 2° or -2° to the side. It is recommended to manipulate the construction using the Axis Control Object to rotate and tilt, preventing the parts from separating. The central Null Object allows you to move the entire scene as usual. Moreover, separate Null Objects for individual wagon parts are available for control in Edit Mode or for animations. As an alternative to the chain hanging from the pole to the ground, the ammunition wagon's box contains some leftover ammunition cartridges from the last engagement. The team (ammunition wagon and limber) is in a parked state without horses.
