Std Puzzle Generator Lite
Get this Node GroupThis setup focus on easily generating a "Spot the Difference" puzzle grid with adjustable parameters and animations in mind. Choose your Generator Model and adjust parameters like grid size, face spacing, number of different faces, etc. You can use an empty object as pivot point for the Scaling Gradient (pinning the Modifier window is recommended for better experience while moving the pivot point). Blender v5.0+ is recommended.

v1.4 Changelog:
- Grid's origin point is now always in the middle of the whole geometry
v1.3 Lite Changelog:
- Changed the way Spacing Uniformity works. Now a factor of 0 means it scales proportional to the n-gon face area, and 1 takes the largest face area as reference for all other n-gons (absolute downscale).
- The Reveal Different Faces now includes a mixer in case you need a smooth transition.
- Fixed the maximum Number of Different Faces.
- Added the Index Gradient option type. It uses the indexes of the n-gons as pivot point (it uses a cyclic progression by default).
v1.2 Changelog:
- Added a Virtual Pivot Location option for the Point Scaling Gradient.
v1.1 Changelog:
- Fixed some issues with the grids' distance/offset input.
- Added the Grid Side Length input to directly define the length of the Grids instead of a 0% to 100% scaler (removed the N-Gon Scaler input).
- Adjusted some naming, descriptions and default values.
